ACA Ends Season with Opening Round Loss to LAMP

After winning their last two Area games to cause a three-way tie at the top, Alabama Christian fell to LAMP in the first round of the Area tournament. The Eagles ended up being the number three seed and should have played LAMP (the #2 seed) at the gym of the top seed, BTW-Magnet. Instead, LAMP caught a huge competitive advantage as they were allowed to host the game against ACA. Instead of playing on a neutral court, the game turned into a road contest for the Eagles.

The game was close after a quarter, but the Golden Tigers extended the lead in the second period and took a 22-17 lead into the locker room at the half. The third was the undoing of Alabama Christian as LAMP outscored the visitors 15-3 to take a 37-20 lead into the fourth. The game was played evenly in the final period, but the outcome was already sealed in the 49-30 LAMP triumph. D’Andre Sneed led the team in scoring in his final game with seven points while Devin Mosely finished with six points.
