Alabama Christian played in the final weekend tournament of the season in Prattville on Saturday and came away with two wins in four matches. The Lady Eagles won their first two games of the day by defeating PCA 26-24, 25-21 and St. James 25-12, 25-17. ACA lost the last two matches to Pelham 17-25, 11-25 and LAMP 25-21, 12-25, 10-15 to end the day.
For the tournament, Jordan Smithee led the offense with 23 kills with Alyson Thornton recording 22 kills, 30 assists and a team high six aces. Mary Hall and Monica Willingham each had 16 kills with Willingham tying Alyson Thornton with a team best six aces. Emily Thornton led the team with 47 assists on the day.
The Eagles compete in the Area Tournament at Catholic against the top seeded Knights on Monday with a spot in the super regional at stake.
