Alabama Christian Defeats Glenwood in Area Play

ACA hosted Glenwood in its first Area match of the season. The Gators led 1-0 at the break, but the Eagles turned up the offensive pressure in the second half. Seniors Tyson Summers’ and Karson Oakley’s second half goals propelled the Eagles to a 2-1 triumph. Summers scored with 9:33 left in the match on a left cross from almost 30 yards out. Oakley hit the game winner on a penalty kick with 3:03 left to give the home team the big win. Austin Cook recorded seven saves in goal. The girls dropped their Area opener 3-1 to the Lady Gators.
