ACA let one get away from them on Tuesday night as they built a two goal lead in the second half, but eventually fell to the Knights, 3-2. Although much of the first half was played on Alabama Christian’s side of the field, the Eagles scored the only goal of the first half as Dalton Hutchinson found the back of the net with a header for the 1-0 lead. The Knights continued to apply the pressure in the second half, but again ACA found a way to score as Hutchinson outraced the Catholic defense to the ball and scored his second goal of the contest with 29 minutes left in the game. Catholic responded quickly as the Knights scored twice in six minutes to tie the game 2-2 with 23 minutes remaining. The game winning goal was scored from 30 yards out with six minutes left and ACA was unable to answer for the 3-2 defeat. Emmett Sanford finished the night with eight saves and Sean Moffett had an assist.
