After ACA’s first two home games were cancelled due to weather, the third time was the charm as the Eagles hosted Brew Tech Wednesday afternoon. Alabama Christian jumped out to an early 7-0 lead and held on for the 14-6 victory. The Rams’ offense showed signs of life in the middle innings, but the Lady Eagles proved to be the superior team.
Senior Haley Pittman (3-0) earned the victory going seven innings, giving up six hits with ten strikeouts. At the plate, Haylee Ingram helped lead the Eagles with a 4 for 5 performance. Lawson Borland and Monica Willingham each collected two hits on the afternoon.
ACA (3-1) travels to Auburn this weekend to participate in the Auburn Varsity Tournament. Play begins for the Eagles Friday at 4:00.
