Both varsity soccer squads shut out BTW in Area contests as the seniors were honored on Tuesday night. In the first game, the Lady Eagles built a 3-0 halftime lead and added four more goals in the second half for a 7-0 win over the Lady Jackets. Eighth grader Katelyn Sutton led the attack with five goals and senior Piper Witcher netted the other two Eagle goals. Presley Lewis recorded two assists while Addison Elder, Marcy Gregory and Wynter Prempromat each added an assist. Marcy Gregory had three saves in goal in the victory.
In the boys game, Norton Sewell and Dalton Hutchinson worked together three times as the Eagles cruised to a 9-0 win. Hutchinson scored six total goals with one assist while Sewell recorded five assists on a very productive night for the seniors. Landon Evans, Sean Moffett and Jacob Ryan each added single goals for ACA. Tyler Bradley and Daniel Moffett both had an assist while, winning goalie, Emmitt Sanford had two saves on the evening.
Both boys and girls continue Area play Thursday night, April 1st, with a contest at LAMP.
