Eagle soccer flexed its muscles Friday night with two overpowering performances over BTW. Both the boys and girls teams kept the pressure on and lived on the BTW side of the field during the contests and were able to end the games early with ten goal leads in the second half. In the opener, the Lady Eagles defeated the Yellow Jackets 11-1 as Michaelyn Manning scored five goals to lead the attack. Presley Lewis scored two goals with an assist while Addison Elder, Olivia Justiss and Katelyn Sutton each scored a single goal. The eleventh goal was knocked in by a BTW defender. Melissa Collins and Wynter Prempromat each recorded an assist. Marcy Gregory had a relatively easy night with just one save.
The boys continued the strong play as they shut out BTW, 10-0. Dalton Hutchinson celebrated his signing with Faulkner to play collegiately with six goals and an assist to lead the ACA offense. Tommy Sutterfield found the back of the net three times with two assists while Landon Evans scored one goal and had an assist. Norton Sewell had two assists while Tyson Summers finished with one assist.
Both varsity teams host LAMP for their next game on Tuesday, March 2nd.
