ACA WIns Final Game of Armstrong Tournament Over PCA

Alabama Christian got a strong pitching effort from Isaac Warrick in a 9-1 defeat of PCA in the fourth and final game of the Armstrong Tournament. The junior hurler allowed just three hits over six innings with 10 strikeouts to stifle the Panther offense.

ACA scored two runs in the first inning without a hit as Zac Westbrook scored on a wild pitch and Brandon Bice scored on an infield error. Thomas Stovall scored the third run in the second frame as he tagged up from second on a fly ball from Westbrook. Stovall made it to third safely and was able to reach home on an error by the Panther third baseman. Westbrook hit a solo bomb to start the scoring in the fourth inning and the offense tacked on two more runs for a 6-1 lead after four. The Eagles last at bat produced three more runs for the 9-1 victory.

Zac Westbrook finished the day 2 for 3 with a double and a homer, one RBI and three runs scored. Brandon Bice walked in all three of his plate appearances and scored three runs. Trey Schlemmer went 1 for 3 with three runs driven in.
