Rachel Rine Makes Lasting Impact on Program in Just Two Years

Rachel Rine came to Alabama Christian last year as a junior and immediately stepped in as a major contributor to the team. As a junior, Rine led the team in scoring as well as made three-pointers, 3-point field goal percentage and free throw percentage. This year, as the team’s only senior, she continued to play a pivotal role on the team as she finished second on the team in scoring and led the team in assists and free throw percentage.

In only two seasons, Rine’s name is all over the ACA record book. She finished her career with 566 points which rank 18th all-time. Her point total is the second most in school history for any player who played just two years at Alabama Christian. Rine’s 11.6 points per game average ranks fifth best all-time and her 58 made threes rank 14th on the career list. She ranks ninth in free throw makes and 19th in free throw attempts and her 68.8 free throw percentage is fifth best in program history. Despite her short time at the school, Rachel Rine will be remembered for her play on the court for years to come.
